19.1

पृथोस्तु नप्ता पृथुधर्मकर्मठ:

प्राचीनबर्हिर्युवतौ शतद्रुतौ ।

प्रचेतसो नाम सुचेतस: सुता-

नजीजनत्त्वत्करुणाङ्कुरानिव

pr̥thostu naptā pr̥thudharmakarmaṭhaḥ

prācīnabarhiryuvatau śatadrutau

pracetaso nāma sucetasaḥ suta-

najījanattvatkaruṇāṅkurāniva

 King Prithu’s great-grandson, a man of high renown,

Prachina Barhiss, virtuous, with a well-earned crown.

In rituals, his prowess shone, a master of each rite,

His fame for skill and piety was known both day and night.

He and his wife, in youth's sweet prime, a family did create,

Ten sons they had, blessed, their destiny seemed great.

So graced were they embodying the Lord's grace,

These ten were called the Prachetas, revered in time and space.

King Prithu’s great-grandson, Prachina Barhiss, was skilled in all significant rituals and renowned for his virtue. He and his young wife had ten sons who were so divine that they seemed to embody the Lord’s mercy. These sons became known as the Prachetas.

പൃഥോസ്തു നപ്താ പൃഥു ധർമ്മ കർമ്മഠ:

പ്രാചീനബർഹിർ യുവതൗ ശതദ്രുതൗ

പ്രചേതസോ നാമ സുചേതസ: സുതാൻ

അജീജനത് ത്വത് കരുണാങ്കുരാനിവ

പൃഥു മഹാരാജാവിന്റെ പ്രപൗത്രനാണ് പ്രാചീന ബർഹിസ്സ്. അദ്ദേഹം മഹത്തരങ്ങളായ ധർമ്മകർമങ്ങളിൽ നിഷ്ണാതനായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനും യുവഭാര്യയായ ശതദ്രുതക്കും കൂടി ശുദ്ധമനസ്ക്കരും ഭഗവാന്റെ കൃപാങ്കുരങ്ങളാണോ എന്നു തോന്നുമാറ് ദിവ്യന്മാരുമായ പത്തുപുത്രൻമാർ ജനിച്ചു. പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾ എന്ന പേരിൽ അവർ വിഖ്യാതരായി.

പ്രാചീനബർഹിസ്സതിമഹാൻ പൃഥുപ്രപൌത്രൻ 

തദ്ഭാര്യ ശതരൂപ,യവർ ധർമ്മകർമ്മപ്രശസ്തർ.

ഉണ്ടായ് പ്രചേതസ്സുകളാം പത്തു സുതന്മാരവർ-

ക്കതിദിവ്യരായ് ഭഗവദ്കൃപാകിരണങ്ങൾപോലെ.

  

19.2

पितु: सिसृक्षानिरतस्य शासनाद्-

भवत्तपस्याभिरता दशापि ते

पयोनिधिं पश्चिममेत्य तत्तटे

सरोवरं सन्ददृशुर्मनोहरम् ॥२॥

pituḥ sisṛkṣāniratasya śāsanād-

bhavattapasyābhiratā daśāpi te

payonidhiṁ paścimametya tattaṭe

sarovaṁ sandadṛśurmanoharam

Prachetas, inspired by their father's wise decree,

To populate the world with virtue, set forth with glee.

Determined to gain the strength for their divine mission,

They chose the path of penance with steadfast precision.

Journeying to the Western Sea, with hearts pure and awake,

They found on its serene shore an enchanting lake.

Prachetas got themselves ready to follow their father’s advice to continue with the creation of progenies as he was enthused with populating the world with virtuous people. Prachetas decided to acquire the necessary ability to pursue creation by doing severe penance and set forth to the Western Sea shore and found an enchanting lake there.

പിതു: സിസൃക്ഷാ നിരതസ്യ ശാസനാദ്-

ഭവത്തപസ്യാഭിരതാ ദശാപി തേ

പയോനിധിം പശ്ചിമ മേത്യ തത്തടേ

സരോവരം സംദ ദൃശുർ മനോഹരം

പ്രജാസൃഷ്ടിയിൽ തൽപ്പരനായ പിതാവിന്റെ ശാസനയനുസരിക്കാൻ ഈ പുത്രന്മാർ തയ്യാറായി. സൃഷ്ടിക്കുള്ള പ്രാഭവം നേടാൻ നിന്തിരുവടിയെ തപസ്സു ചെയ്ത് പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ തപോനിഷ്ഠരായ പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾ പത്തുപേരും പടിഞ്ഞാറേ സമുദ്രതീരത്ത് എത്തി അവിടെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു സരോവരം കണ്ടെത്തി.

പിതാവിൻ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടു 

പ്രജാസൃഷ്ടി ചെയ്യാനിച്ഛിച്ചൂ   

പ്രചേതസ്സുകളവരേവരും

സൃഷ്ടിപ്രഭാവലബ്ധിക്കായ് 

ചെയ്യണം തപമെന്നുറച്ചവർ 

കണ്ടെത്തീ പശ്ചിമസമുദ്രതീരേ 

യൊരു സരോവര,മതിമനോഹരം  

19.3

तदा भवत्तीर्थमिदं समागतो

भवो भवत्सेवकदर्शनादृत: ।

प्रकाशमासाद्य पुर: प्रचेतसा-

मुपादिशत् भक्ततमस्तव स्तवम् ॥३॥

tadā bhavattīrthamidaṁ samāgato

bhaṇo bhavatsevakadarśanādṛtaḥ

prakāśamāsādya puraḥ pracetasām-

upādiśat bhaktamastava stavam

They met Lord Siva, a fervent devotee of Vishnu's name,

Eager to bless and greet thy followers, He before them came.

With grace, He bestowed a hymn, a jewel rare and bright,

To honor and revere You, in their devoted rite.

There they were met by Lord Siva who is also an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. He was keen to see and bless thy devotees and appeared before them. He taught them a unique jewel of a hymn to propitiate you. 

തദാ ഭവദ് തീർത്ഥമിദം സമാഗതോ

ഭവോ ഭവത്സേവകദർശനാദൃത:

പ്രകാശമാസാദ്യ പുര: പ്രചേതസാം

ഉപാദിശദ്ഭക്ത തമസ്തവ സ്തവം

അപ്പോൾ ആ സരസ്സിന്റെ അടുത്തേക്ക് നിന്തിരുവടിയെ സേവിക്കുന്ന ഭക്തരെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിൽ തൽപ്പരനും വിഷ്ണുഭക്തരിൽ ഉത്തമനുമായ  പരമശിവൻ ആഗതനായി പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ അങ്ങയെ സ്തുതിക്കാനുള്ള വിശേഷപ്പെട്ട ഒരു സ്തോത്രരത്നം പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.

അപ്പോളവിടെയെത്തീ സാക്ഷാൽ 

മഹേശ്വരൻ സ്വയം വിഷ്ണുഭക്ത-

നുത്തമൻ, ഭക്തദർശനകുതൂഹലൻ. 

അങ്ങേ സ്തുതിച്ചു കീർത്തിക്കാനായ്  

ഹരൻ പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾക്കു നൽകീ 

ദിവ്യം സ്തുതി,യഭീഷ്ടസിദ്ധിപ്രദം

19.4

स्तवं जपन्तस्तममी जलान्तरे

भवन्तमासेविषतायुतं समा: ।

भवत्सुखास्वादरसादमीष्वियान्

बभूव कालो ध्रुववन्न शीघ्रता ॥४॥

stavaṁ japantastamamī jalāntare

bhavantamāseviṣatāyutaṁ samāḥ

bhavatsukhāsvādarasādamīṣviyān-

babhūva kālo dhruvavanna śīghratā

For ten thousand years in water’s embrace,

The Prachetas sang hymns with utmost grace.

Immersed in devotion, time slipped away,

Their penance unnoticed, day after day.

The Lord took His time, not swift to appear,

Unlike with Prahalad, who saw Him near.

In patience they waited, with hearts pure and still,

For they were content, aligned with His will.

The Prachetas's spent ten thousand years chanting teh sacred hymn taught by Lord Siva. They did not notice the passage of time as they were fully engrossed in serving You with utmost devotion. They wer immersed in the bliss of Ymeditating upon You. The Lord was not quick to be please in them just as He did with his other ardent devotee, Prahlada.

സ്തവം ജപന്തസ്ത മമീ ജലാന്തരേ

ഭവന്ത മാസേ വിഷതായുതം സമാഃ

ഭവത്സുഖാസ്വാദ രസാദ മീഷ്വിയാൻ

ബഭൂവ കാലോ ധ്രുവവന്ന ശീഘ്രതാ

ഈ പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾ പരമശിവൻ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതായ സ്തോത്രം ജലത്തിലിരുന്നു ജപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഭഗവാനെ സേവിച്ച് പതിനായിരം വർഷം കടന്നുപോയി. അവിടുത്തെ സാക്ഷാത്ക്കരിക്കുന്നതിലുള്ള ഭക്തിയുടെ ആനന്ദാനുഭവത്തിൽ ആമഗ്‌നരായതിനാൽ ഇത്ര ദീർഘമായ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞത് അവരെ ബാധിച്ചില്ല. ധ്രുവന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലെന്ന പോലെ ഭഗവാൻ ഇവരിൽ പെട്ടെന്ന് പ്രസാദിക്കുകയുണ്ടായില്ല.

ഹരനാൽ വിരചിതം ഹരിസ്തുതി ജപാൽ, 

ജലതപസ്സിലായ്, കടന്നുപോയാണ്ടുകൾ

പതിനായിരം മുദാ, സദാ ധ്യാനനിഷ്ഠം 

പ്രീതനായില്ല ഭവാൻ ധ്രുവനിലെന്നപോൽ 

വിനാവിളംബ,മെന്നാൽ  ബാധിച്ചതില്ല, 

പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾക്കാ വിളമ്പനമൽപ്പവും 

ഭക്തിപ്രഹർഷേ രമിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞവർ

ഭവദ് ചരണൈകശരണ്യർ, ധ്യാനലീനം   

19.5

तपोभिरेषामतिमात्रवर्धिभि:

स यज्ञहिंसानिरतोऽपि पावित: ।

पिताऽपि तेषां गृहयातनारद-

प्रदर्शितात्मा भवदात्मतां ययौ ॥५॥

tapobhires̱āmatimātravardhibhiḥ

sa yajñahinsānirato'pi pāvitaḥ

pitā'pi teṣāṁ gṛhayātanārada-

pradarśitātmā bhavadātmatāṁ yayau

Due to the fervent penance the Prachetas undertook,

Their ancestors' sins were by this act forsook.

Even King Vena, who Yagna rites had banned,

Found redemption through their devout command.

Because of the intensity and sincerity of penance performed by the Prachetas, generations of their ancestor’s got relief from sins. Even Vena, the king who abolished Yagna rituals was redeemed of all his sins.

തപോഭിരേഷാമതിമാത്ര വർദ്ധിഭി:
സ യജ്ഞ ഹിംസാനിരതോfപി പാവിത:
പിതാപി തേഷാം ഗൃഹയാതനാരദ -
പ്രദർശിതാത്മാ ഭവദാത്മതാം യയൌ

പ്രചേതസ്സുകളുടെ വർദ്ധിതമായ തപോനിഷ്ഠയാൽ അവരുടെ കുലത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച, യജ്ഞകർമ്മങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന വേനൻ പോലും പാപവിമുക്തനായി. മാത്രമല്ല  തപസ്സിന്റെ പുണ്യത്താൽ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആഗതനായ നാരദമഹർഷിയിൽ നിന്നും അവരുടെ പിതാവിന് ആത്മതത്വാനുഭവം ലഭിക്കാനും അങ്ങിനെ മോക്ഷപദം പൂകാനും സാധിച്ചു.

പ്രചേതസ്സുകളനുഷ്ഠിച്ചതാം
തപോനിഷ്ഠകൾ ഹേതുവായ്
വിമുക്തരായ് തീർന്നവരുടെ
കുലത്തിലുണ്ടായ പിതൃക്കളും
യജ്ഞഹന്താ വേനൻ പോലുമേ
നാരദമുനിയചിരേണ നൽകീ
പിതാവിന്നാത്മജ്ഞാനവു-
മൊടുവിൽ മോക്ഷവും തദാ

19.6

कृपाबलेनैव पुर: प्रचेतसां

प्रकाशमागा: पतगेन्द्रवाहन: ।

विराजि चक्रादिवरायुधांशुभि-

र्भुजाभिरष्टाभिरुदञ्चितद्युति: ॥६॥

kr̥pābalenaiva puraḥ pracetasām

prakāśamāgāḥ patagendravāhanaḥ

virāji cakrādivarāyudhāṁśubhi-

rbhujābhiras̱ṭābhirudañcitadyutiḥ

In radiant grandeur, you graced their sight,

With boundless love for those who hold you dear.

On Garuda's wings, in full might,

Eight arms adorned with weapons clear.

Your infinite compassion, brightly shown,

As mace and more, within your grasp,

Upon your vehicle, proudly throne,

In glory's light, you gently clasp.

Finally, you appeared in front of them in full glory and splendor exemplifying your infinite compassion towards your devotees. You came on your Garuda vehicle holding weapons such as mace, etc., in all eight arms.

He bestowed upon them gifts unasked,

"May thoughts of you bring people flourishing,

And the hymn you sing, by Rudra's grace,

Becomes a wish-fulfilling chant for devotees true."

Then He gave them several boons unasked. “May the people flourish just by thinking about you and your devotion. May the hymn you chant, as taught by Rudra, become a wish-fulfilling mantra for all devotees who chant it with full devotion.”

കൃപാബലേനൈവ പുര: പ്രചേതസാം
പ്രകാശമാഗാ: പതഗേന്ദ്രവാഹന:
വിരാജിചക്രാദിവരായുധാംശുഭിർ-
ഭുജാഭി രഷ്ടാഭി രുദഞ്ചിത ദ്യുതി:

തുടർന്ന് നിന്തിരുവടി കാരുണ്യാതിരേകം കൊണ്ട് പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ പക്ഷിരാജനായ ഗരുഡവാഹനത്തിലേറി എട്ടു കരങ്ങളിലും തിളങ്ങുന്ന ചക്രാദി ആയുധങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ച രൂപത്തിൽ  വർദ്ധിത ശോഭയോടെ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.

കരങ്ങളെട്ടിലും ശംഖചക്രാദികൾ കമനീയമാ-
യണിഞ്ഞുമേറെ ജാജ്വല്യമായ് പ്രശോഭിച്ചും
ഭവാൻ വന്നണഞ്ഞു കാരുണ്യപൂർവ്വം മുന്നിൽ
ഗരുഡവാഹനത്തിലവർക്കു ദർശനം നൽകുവാൻ      

19.7

प्रचेतसां तावदयाचतामपि

त्वमेव कारुण्यभराद्वरानदा: ।

भवद्विचिन्ताऽपि शिवाय देहिनां

भवत्वसौ रुद्रनुतिश्च कामदा ॥७॥

pracetasaṁ tāvadayācatāmapi

tvameva kāruṇyabharādvarānadāḥ

bhavadvicintā'pi śivāya dehināṁ

bhavatvasau rudranutiśca kāmadā

He bestowed upon them gifts unasked,

"May thoughts of you bring people flourishing,

And the hymn you sing, by Rudra's grace,

പ്രചേതസാം താവദയാചതാമപി
ത്വമേവ കാരുണ്യഭരാദ് വരാനദാ:
ദവദ് വിചിന്താപി ശിവായ ദേഹിനാം
ഭവത്വസൗ രുദ്രനുതിശ്ച കാമദാ

ആ സമയത്ത് കൃപാനിധിയായ നിന്തിരുവടി അപേക്ഷിക്കാതെ തന്നെ അവർക്ക് വരങ്ങൾ നൽകി. "ഭക്തോത്തമരായ നിങ്ങളെ സ്മരിക്കുന്നതുപോലും ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് മംഗളകരമാവട്ടെ. നിങ്ങൾ ജപിക്കുന്ന രുദ്രോപദിഷ്ടമായ സ്തുതി, അത് ഭക്ത്യാ ജപിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അഭീഷ്ടപ്രദായകമാവട്ടെ."

വരങ്ങളവർക്കു കനിഞ്ഞു നൽകീ
ഭഗവാനവരർത്ഥിക്കാതെ തന്നെ.
“മംഗളകരമാകട്ടേ മദ് ഭക്തർക്കു
ഭക്തോത്തമരാം പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾ തൻ
സ്മരണകൾ പോലുമെന്നുമെന്നും.
ഭക്ത്യാ ജപിക്കുന്നവർക്കഭീഷ്ടപ്രദ-
മാകട്ടെൻ രുദ്രോപദിഷ്ടസ്തുതിയും സദാ"

19.8

अवाप्य कान्तां तनयां महीरुहां

तया रमध्वं दशलक्षवत्सरीम् ।

सुतोऽस्तु दक्षो ननु तत्क्षणाच्च मां

प्रयास्यथेति न्यगदो मुदैव तान् ॥८॥

avāpya kāntāṁ tanayāṁ mahīruhāṁ

tayā ramadhvaṁ daśalakṣavatsarīm

suto'stu dakṣo nanu tatkṣaṇācca māṁ

prayāsyatheti nyagado mudaiva tān

Accept the boughs' fair child, Kamala Lochana,

In union, thrive a million years, and more.

From this bond, Daksha shall arise,

Swiftly, to me, your journey finds its core.

With joyful heart, the Lord bestowed his grace,

Ensuring their path with love's embrace.

“You may accept the daughter of Trees – the beautiful Kamala Lochana as your wife and live happily enjoying all the pleasures of life for a million years. Then you will beget a son by the name Daksha. Without delay, you will reach me” The Lord blessed them joyfully.

അവാപ്യ കാന്താം തനയാം മഹീരുഹാം
തയാ രമധ്വം ദശലക്ഷവത്സരീം
സുതോfസ്തു ദക്ഷോ നനു തത്ക്ഷണാച്ച മാം
പ്രയാസ്യഥേതി ന്യഗദോ മുദൈവതാൻ

"വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിയായ കമലലോചനയെ പത്നിയായി സ്വീകരിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ പത്തുലക്ഷം വർഷം സുഖിച്ചു രമിച്ചു വാഴുക. അതിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ദക്ഷൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു പുത്രൻ ഉണ്ടാവും. അതു കഴിഞ്ഞ് താമസംവിനാ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നതാണ്" എന്ന് ഭഗവാൻ സസന്തോഷം വരമരുളി.

“സ്വീകരിച്ചാലും നിങ്ങൾ പത്നിയായ്
വൃക്ഷപുത്രിയാം കമലലോചനയെ തദാ
സുഖിച്ചു വാണാലും ദശലക്ഷ സംവൽസരം.
ജനിക്കുമൊരു പുത്രൻ, നിങ്ങൾക്ക്  ദക്ഷനാഖ്യൻ, 

പിന്നെയചിരേണയെന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കും  ദൃഢം.”

19.9

ततश्च ते भूतलरोधिनस्तरून्

क्रुधा दहन्तो द्रुहिणेन वारिता: ।

द्रुमैश्च दत्तां तनयामवाप्य तां

त्वदुक्तकालं सुखिनोऽभिरेमिरे ॥९॥

tataśca te bhūtalārodhinas tarūn

kruḍhā dahanto druhiṇena vāritāḥ

drumaiśca dattāṁ tanayāmavāpya tāṁ

tvaduktakālaṁ sukhino'bhiremire

Down from heavens, Prachetas descended,

To fulfill their duties, they intended.

Yet, vexed by trees obstructing their way,

In anger, they set the woods ablaze that day.

But Brahma, wise, their fury did curb,

With counsel, he made their destructive urge swerve.

Then, trees, in kindness, offered their daughter fair,

In marriage, a bond beyond compare.

Thus, harmonious union came to be,

As divine decree ordained, for all to see.

In bliss, they dwelled with their newfound bride,

A tale of love, where destinies coincide.

Then the Prachetas came down to the earth to pursue their duties but got annoyed at the trees hindering their paths. Furiously, they started burning those trees, but Lord Brahma dissuaded them from that destructive urge. Then the trees gave their daughter to them in marriage. They lived happily with her as ordained by the Lord.

തതശ്ച തേ ഭൂതലരോധി നസ്തരൂൻ
ക്രുധാ ദഹന്തോ ദ്രുഹിണേന വാരിതാ:
ദ്രുമൈശ്ച ദത്താം തനയാം അവാപ്യ താം
ത്വദുക്തകാലം സുഖിനോfഭിരേമിരേ

അനന്തരം, ഭൂതലത്തിൽ വന്ന പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ വഴി തടസ്സമുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങളെ ക്രോധത്തോടെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരായി കാണപ്പെട്ടു. എന്നാൽ ബ്രഹ്മാവ് അവരെ ആ പ്രവൃത്തിയിൽ നിന്നും പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ കന്യാദാനം ചെയ്ത തരുണിയെ സഹധർമ്മിണിയായി സ്വീകരിച്ച് ഭഗവാൻ കൽപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലത്തോളം അവളുമായി അവർ രമിച്ചു വാണു.

അനന്തരമവർ വന്നു ഭൂമിയിൽ ധർമ്മ-

കർമ്മങ്ങളനുഷ്ഠിക്കുവാനക്കാലം
ക്രോധത്താലവർ  ദഹിപ്പിച്ചൂ വഴി
മുടക്കും വൃക്ഷങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം ജവം.
പിന്നെ വിരിഞ്ചനിയോഗത്താൽ
ശാന്തരായപ്പോളവർക്കേകീ മരങ്ങൾ
തദ്പുത്രിയെ സഹധർമ്മത്തിനായി 
പ്രചേതസ്സുകളേവം സസുഖം രമിച്ചു

വാണൂ നിജകാലം കഴിവോളവും

19.10

अवाप्य दक्षं च सुतं कृताध्वरा:

प्रचेतसो नारदलब्धया धिया ।

अवापुरानन्दपदं तथाविध-

स्त्वमीश वातालयनाथ पाहि माम् ॥१०॥

avāpya dakṣaṁ ca sutaṁ kṛtādhvarāḥ

pracetaso nāradalabdhyā dhīyā

avāpurānandapadaṁ tathāvidha-

stvamīśa vātālayanātha pāhi mām

The Prachetas, blessed with a son named Daksha,

Received wisdom deep from sage Narada's cajole.

Yagnas, they fulfilled ere their souls took flight,

Oh! Guruvayurappa! Grant me such light,

As you did for Prachetas, my plea extol.

The Prachetas had a son by the name of Daksha. They got the ultimate knowledge of the self from sage Narada, and they performed all the prescribed Yagnas before leaving their body. Oh! Guruvayurappa! Just like what you did for the Prachetas, please rescue me as well.

അവാപ്യ ദക്ഷം ച സുതം കൃതാധ്വരാ:
പ്രചേതസോ നാരദ ലബ്ധയാ ധിയാ
അവാപുരാനന്ദപദം തഥാവിധ :
ത്വമീശ വാതാലയനാഥ പാഹിമാം

പ്രചേതസ്സുകൾക്ക് ദക്ഷൻ എന്ന പുത്രനെ ലഭിച്ചു. അവർ യജ്ഞ
കർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ത് നാരദനിൽ നിന്നും ലഭിച്ച ആത്മജ്ഞാനം മൂലം ആനന്ദപദം പ്രാപിച്ചു. അല്ലയോ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പാ അപ്രകാരം അവിടുന്ന് എന്നേയും രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ!

അചിരേണയവർക്കുണ്ടായൊരു പുത്രൻ, ദക്ഷാഖ്യനൊ-
ടുവിൽ ആനന്ദപദം പ്രാപിച്ചവർ , ഭവദ്കരുണയാൽ
യജ്ഞകർമ്മത്താലും, നാരദമുനിതന്നനുഗ്രഹത്താലുമേ.
